Abstract:Abstract: A method for the determination of Mn , Ni , Cu , Al , Mg in uranium compound by
Inductively Coupled Plasma Mass Spectrometry was presented and described. The sample and Certified
Reference Material were diluted at the same factor so as to control the matrix of uranium. The
detection limit of the method is 0.008 ng · mL-1to 0.038 ng · mL-1 . Results indicate that the
concentration of the Mn , Ni , Cu , Al , Mg agree with certificated values with the uranium matrix-
matched standards under 100 μg · mL -1 . The contrastive test sample results of Mn , Ni , Cu , Al , Mg
were 2.11 μg · g -1 to 84 μg · g -1 U , the comparison report shows that this method can acquire good result
of impurities in uranium compounds.
