The ore body horizontal projection map is one of the most important maps for the estimation of uranium reserves. In recent years, the ore body horizontal projection map is mainly drawn manually with CAD, but this way is inefficient and error-prone. In this paper, a new method was proposed by generating ore body horizontal projection map automatically programming based on VBA and Excel. The program mainly includes two parts: Excel data preprocessing module and AutoCAD drawing module. Excel data preprocessing module mainly calculates the frame range, coordinate grid range, and the starting and ending points of the exploration line, combined with the inclinometer data, the center depth of the ore body, and the aperture coordinates, the depth weighting method is used to calculate the coordinates of the ore body's intersection point, combined with the ore Information and reserves calculation specifications, calculate the coordinates of the inflection point of the ore body in the four directions of the exploration line and the baseline. The AutoCAD VBA drawing module draws the frame, coordinate grid, and exploration line into the AutoCAD graphics space automatically through AutoCAD ActiveX automation technology, and marks the uranium per square meter. Then, draw polygons by the inflection points to achieve the preliminary delineation of the uranium ore body range. Finally, a deposit was used to show how the horizontal projection map of the ore body is automatically generated by the program and compared with the previous manual drawing. By comparison, this new method can draw the production of ore body horizontal projection quickly and accurately. The method avoids human errors and meet the accuracy requirements and greatly improves production efficiency.
